For tonight’s blog post I'm talking about what to me is one of the most important parts of closing a job with your client - thank you cards. Now, some of you may laugh at the idea and think that something this small does not matter and is a waste of time. But, a thank you card to your client is something professional and respectful that is a huge part of your relationship with your client.

No matter if you are a photographer like myself, or in another field of clientele work, thank you cards are a must! Your clients aren’t just people you are doing a service for, but they are now people you need to build a friendly business style relationship with. As your client, they want to feel respected and trustworthy of you and by communicating, being friendly, and making sure they have a great experience throughout the job is a way of providing great customer service on a one-on-one basis.

For my business, after every shoot that a client has asked me to do for them, I always give a thank you card when I deliver their pictures. To me, it's a friendly way to say thank you for letting me take pictures for you that will last a lifetime. I believe that this is a great way to close a job. I don't want to be "just the photographer", I want my clients to feel like they have built a positive friend-like relationship with me and if they ever needed to come back to my business, I am more than happy to work with them again. By giving out thank you cards, it makes your client feel respected and it shows that you were honored that they chose you to work with out of all the other people they could have gone to.

On that note, I highly suggest thank you cards for your business. It is just a small touch that will make a world of difference for your business and your relationship with your clients.

With that being said...thank you for reading this post everyone! :)
