But to me, Photography is my lifelong passion and the career I would like to persue for the rest of my life. I've been taking pictures ever since I was a small child. I love capturing special moments in a picture and being able to savour it for a lifetime. After a few years of taking pictures I found that I have a huge love for photo editing. I love taking multiple images and creating them into one unique photo. You'll always find me sitting behind my computer editing photos with that odd squinty eyed face I have when I'm not wearing my glasses. (haha!) And oh! You'll always see me editing photos and drinking tea. (couldn't live without orange-pekoe tea!)

 

I find that personally, I enjoy taking a lot of portrait photography. (Although I do love to dabble in other types of Photography as well).

I love taking pictures of beautiful subjects. I once read in a book that “A portrait of a person is meant to flatter the subject. Also known as taking a beautiful picture of a beautiful thing.” This I believe very strongly. When you take a picture of a live subject you can capture so much emotion, expression and personality in a photo. And that's what makes taking pictures of people so beautiful. I love capturing a person's personality in a picture, whether it's a funny, happy, serious or emotional feelings being expressed. Every individual person is unique, and everyone has a unique personality, therefore when you take a photo of someone that captures who they are, it makes the photo unique as well.

 

I am very proud to say that I am a graduate from the Photography program at Fanshawe College. I love photography even more than I did when I started. I am learning new things everyday, whether it's what I learned in class or out when I'm doing a shoot. Although I have just graduated, it’s still just the beginning of a lifelong time of capturing beautiful moments through the lens. Now that I have graduated, I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to go back to school for Graphic Design! Although I am fairly new to the Graphic Design workfield, I have been self-teaching myself and I have learned many new things! I am so excited about starting my program in September 2015!
